101 Years On Genocide Commemoration in London

101 Years On Genocide Commemoration in London

Saturday, 23 April 2016 - 12:00pm

Once again, the Armenian community in London marched in unity to denounce, condemn, seek recognition and reparation for the Genocide perpetrated against Armenians by the Ottoman government and its successor, Turkey.
This year the commemoration events were combined with protests against the Azeri aggression and barbaric mutilation of Armenians in Nagorno Karabagh (Artsakh) during the first week of April 2016.
AGBU London was once again present in the events and this year, Executive Committee member Mrs Seda Nazarian carried and placed a wreath of purple and white flowers in the Cenotaph, alongside Armenian Embassy, Church and other community leaders.
